Reiki “Training” is slyly deceptive name for the magical weekend students spend rising up
into the next versions of themselves. It doesn’t feel much like a training, except that by the end, you are transformed. Sure, you learn all about the history of Reiki and how it works, best practices, systems of use, what to say to your clients, and important things like that. But the most significant transformation happens during the attunement.
A Reiki attunement is a short process in which the Reiki Master essentially inscribes the Reiki lineage into your soul self. As the student, you receive the lineage of Reiki at a soul level, and your energy is upgraded (or attuned) to the beautiful 7th dimensional energy of Reiki. It may sound esoteric and intangible, but the results are absolutely profound and difficult to deny.
Everyone experiences their attunement differently, so it won’t do much good to tell you exactly what to expect. Just like someone receiving Reiki experiences it in the way that best serves them (For more in this check out my previous article: Understanding Reiki), each person’s attunement is experienced exactly as it needs to be for their unique self in that moment.
Some people have mystical experiences: visions, overwhelming physical or emotional feelings; while some hear voices, receive messages, or recall powerful memories. Some people feel the temperature in the room change, feel tingling, pressure, pulsing, or notice a unique calm come over them. Some people don’t experience anything at all out of the ordinary during the process.
But in the hours, days, weeks, and months following the attunement… that’s when the real magic is evident. Maybe your intuition strengthens and you begin to see, hear, feel, or know divine truths with more clarity and ease. Some students feel the motivating, unwavering willpower to move forward with a much-needed decision they’ve been hesitant to make. Many students note big realizations or new perspectives about their life which they can hardly believe weren’t clear before. Past lives are recalled. Wounds are healed. Guides are met. Internal shifts occur.
This growth spurt is all part of what happens when you are called to and welcomed into this lineage. (Similar processes happen when you join any sacred lineage that is lovingly and safely held.) It’s as if some part of your life that was cloudy before has become clear. Some new strength is within you. Some new force is behind you. You become more intolerant of untruths, more aware of the energies you encounter, more sure of who you are and how you want to operate in the world. And you, the Reiki, and the rest of us (all shapes, sizes, ages, and races) are all lovingly held within the safety of the energetic structure of the lineage. We could all use more of that healing, couldn’t we?
The magic of the lineage is that on some level (whatever level you are comfortable operating on) you have access to the scope of truth that each member of the lineage (and the lineage as a whole) experiences. It’s a collective energy that you are now tapped into with lifetime access. It’s safe. It’s healing. It’s beautiful. The transmission you receive during your attunement is not a singular energy from your teacher, it’s much bigger than that. It is a collective energy passed through your teacher, and once you’re in the crew, you’re in for life.
It sounds secretive and selective and somehow untouchable, but it’s not any of those things. All you have to do to be a part of this lineage is:
1. Feel called to find out more, (curiosity)
2. Sign up for the training, (financial investment, $400, $350 earlybird)
3. Show up for the training and participate with an open mind and a willingness to learn. (time and energy investment)
What you get in return is paradoxically unquantifiable and completely life-changing.
So the questions you need to answer are:
Do you want to be held in this magnificent collective energy?
Are you ready for transformation in your life?
Do you want your intuition to be clearer?
Do you want to be in on the magic?
